thefreelibrary.com Nick Jr. announces Triplets (2007) (REAL, not fake!!!)

LOS ANGELES, Apr 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Nick Jr. announced today the birth of Triplets: Yo Gabba Gabba, the Upside Down Show, and Ni Hao Kai Lan. Yo Gabba Gabba, developed for kids from Newborn to 8 years, is an exciting and fun television show that teaches young children the fundaments of friendship.

Rachel Riddle, author of the Yo Gabba Gabba books, said "It took me YEARS to convince kids channels to make a Yo Gabba Gabba TV series, now there is finally one!"

Yo Gabba Gabba is similar to Jack's Big Music Show in some ways. The show includes guest stars to keep kids entertained like Sesame Street has done over the years. Julie Aigner-Clark II, Program Selector for Nick Jr., said, "I was interested in the Yo Gabba Gabba books when I was a kid, and now I'm super happy that it's happening".

A song is introduced by DJ Lance Rock (Lance Robertson), and his 5 large puppets.

The show's songs can be used at preschools. Like all Nickelodeon shows aimed at preschoolers, parents can show it to their kids.

the Upside Down Show, aimed at kids ages 3 to 8, is about Shane Dudas and David Collins acting as brothers and going on adventures with their Red door. On the way, they use their basic math skills. Like Gabba, it combines live action with puppetry. It is actually made by some of the producers for Sesame Street.

Aigner-Clark said "I created the upside down show with Dudas and Collins as a wacky way to introduce kids to science and math"

The last of the new trio, Ni Hao Kai Lan, is a Chinese-english Television show. Clark said "We have Dora and Diego, who teach kids Spanish. And now we're teaching kids Chinese. Kai Lan has friends named Rintoo, Tolee, HoHo, and LuLu, along with her grandpa Yei-Yei".

The Upside Down show will premiere on Noggin in December, Ni Hao Kai Lan on November 5, and Yo Gabba Gabba! on August 20.

Nick Jr. is a block part of Nickelodeon. It launched in 1988, and is still going strong.
